If you have been injured in the last three years, and it wasn’t your fault, you may be able to claim compensation. The amount you are able to claim depends on the type and severity of your injury. Personal Injury Claims Aberdeen can help you get the compensation you are entitled to. Our compensation guide outlines the levels of compensation for some of the most common types of injury.

Compensation For Injuries To The Face

Facial injuries may not be debilitating in the same way some other injuries can, but few other injuries are likely to cause such damage to one’s self esteem.

Awarding compensation for facial injuries is a complex task. The injury itself has to be taken into account, as well as the cosmetic damage. The impact on the life of the sufferer also has to be taken into account. In general women are awarded higher levels of compensation than men.

Burns injuries are also dealt with in this category. Serious burns injuries will almost always be at, or over, the top of the bracket.

Skeletal/skull injuries

Multiple facial fractures £9,750 - £15,750

Fractures of Nose or Nasal complex £1,125 - £15,200

These vary from simple fractures of the nose with full recovery to serious fractures involving multiple surgeries and/or permanent disability in breathing.

These range from simple fractures from which a complete recovery is possible to multiple fractures requiring surgery and which involve some level of disfigurement.

This depends on the placement of the teeth and the requirement for dental surgery. Front teeth attract a higher level of award.

The law draws a distinction between male and female victims here. Women are generally awarded a higher level of compensation. Age is also taken into consideration. The psychological impact will also be taken into account.
